IPO Network held its premier thought leadership event of 2024 on Collins Street Melbourne at the InterContinental Melbourne discussing, “Listing on the ASX vs global exchanges”.
A wide-ranging discussion explored the comparative advantage for businesses listing their securities on the ASX as opposed to the opportunities from global exchanges which have attracted a growing share of Australian business and investment in recent years. There was discussion on the value of dual listings, the ideal market capitalisation for companies to list at, the value of being including on an exchange Index and value proposition of the ASX vs global exchanges.
Specific sectors such as life sciences, technology and resources were discussed in terms of the benefits from dual listings and the indeed the actual cost benefit analysis of stocks being listed on global exchanges such as Nasdaq or London Stock Exchange AIM.
