Tuesday, 4 June 2024, Melbourne, Australia: the IPO Network held a Boardroom event at William Buck today with clients and friends to explore the state of the equity capital markets in the USA in 2024, in particular through the eyes of OTC Markets Group and with a lens on the potential for ASX & National Stock Exchange of Australia listed micro and small companies to cost effectively and successfully access USA markets.

Our special guest presenter today was Violet Pagan, the OTC Markets Group Vice President International Corporate Services. OTC Markets Group is an American financial market providing price and liquidity information for 12,000 over the counter (OTC) U.S. and international securities; the group has its headquarters in New York.

For companies listed on a qualified international exchange (such as ASX or NSX in Australia), streamlined market standards enable these listed entities to utilize their home market reporting to make their information available in the U.S. To qualify for OTC Markets, companies must meet high financial standards, follow best practice corporate governance, and demonstrate compliance with applicable securities laws.

We were also privileged to have David Batista join the conversation from New York; David is the Senior Managing Director at VIRIATHUS® Capital which is a boutique global financial services organization operating from Geneva, Miami, New York and Sydney that focuses primarily on merchant banking, financial advisory, and equity research.

In 2024, the IPO Network looks forward to continuing to deliver more challenging and cutting-edge content in our thought leadership events and an expansive range of client support services across our member firms.
